Grasshopper GH25 Golf Club Fleet Leasing
A Smarter Way to Provide Single Seater Golf Buggies at Your Club
The Grasshopper GH25 Golf Club Fleet Leasing Programme gives golf clubs a practical way to provide modern single seater golf buggies without committing substantial capital to purchasing and maintaining an entire fleet.
Whether your club needs two GH25s, three buggies or a much larger fleet, we can structure a leasing package around your course, expected usage and preferred lease term.
Protect Your Capital
Avoid the significant upfront cost of purchasing a complete buggy fleet.
Maintenance Included
Routine maintenance and annual servicing are included within the leasing arrangement.
Generate Hire Income
Turn your fleet into a valuable member service capable of generating its own revenue.
Designed for Golf Clubs
A dedicated fleet specification developed for repeated golf course use.
Simple, Flexible Business Leasing
The principle is deliberately straightforward. Much like leasing a vehicle, the golf club makes an agreed initial payment followed by a fixed monthly lease payment plus VAT.
The club selects the number of Grasshopper GH25 buggies it requires and whether a two or three year leasing term best suits its circumstances. We then discuss your requirements and arrange an individual business leasing proposal through our leasing provider.
Fleet leasing is available from two Grasshopper GH25 buggies upwards.
Every proposal is prepared individually. Initial payments and monthly lease costs depend upon fleet size, lease term and the club's requirements.
All business lease payments are quoted plus VAT. Any financial illustrations on this page are examples only and do not constitute a formal quotation.
Turn the Monthly Cost Into a Revenue Generating Service
A Grasshopper GH25 fleet does not simply have to represent another monthly cost to the club. Properly managed, it can become a valuable member service which generates its own hire income throughout the golfing season.
If your club charges between £20 and £25 per round, even relatively modest utilisation can produce meaningful monthly revenue.
Potential Hire Income Per Grasshopper GH25
| Hires Per Month | At £20 Per Hire | At £25 Per Hire |
|---|---|---|
| 10 hires | £200 | £250 |
| 15 hires | £300 | £375 |
| 20 hires | £400 | £500 |
| 30 hires | £600 | £750 |
| 40 hires | £800 | £1,000 |
With approximately 30 days in a typical month, this does not require a buggy to be hired every day.
See How a Grasshopper Fleet Can Scale
Using a conservative example of 20 hires per buggy per month, the potential revenue becomes particularly interesting as the fleet grows.
| GH25 Fleet | £20 Per Hire | £25 Per Hire |
|---|---|---|
| 2 buggies | £800 per month | £1,000 per month |
| 3 buggies | £1,200 per month | £1,500 per month |
| 4 buggies | £1,600 per month | £2,000 per month |
| 5 buggies | £2,000 per month | £2,500 per month |
| 6 buggies | £2,400 per month | £3,000 per month |
These figures are examples of potential gross hire revenue only. Actual income will depend upon the club's hire charges and utilisation.
Could the Fleet Help Pay for Itself?
Once your tailored monthly leasing rate has been established, it can be compared directly with the income your club expects to generate from buggy hire.
Once hire income has covered the relevant monthly leasing cost, additional hires can provide further gross revenue for the golf club.
Greater Potential During the Summer
During the main summer golfing season, a Grasshopper GH25 can realistically undertake two rounds in one day, where tee times and course arrangements allow.
We do not base the business case on every buggy being hired twice every day. Consider a much more modest example.
15 days
with two hires per day
30 hires
from one buggy
£600 to £750
gross revenue per buggy
A three buggy fleet achieving the same level of utilisation could therefore generate between £1,800 and £2,250 gross hire revenue in that month.
During the shorter winter months, clubs would normally plan around a maximum of one hire per day, subject to available daylight, weather and course conditions.
Built Specifically for Golf Club Fleet Use
The Grasshopper GH25 supplied through our Golf Club Fleet Leasing Programme is configured specifically for repeated commercial use. It is not simply a standard retail buggy placed into a golf club environment.
Fleet Battery Specification
A battery specification suitable for more frequent use and repeated charging is installed for the additional demands of a hire fleet.
Simple Controls
Straightforward controls allow different members and visitors to operate the buggy easily and confidently.
Preset Performance
Operating speed and acceleration are preset for consistent and controlled golf course operation.
Smaller Footprint. Less Storage.
Storage is an important and often overlooked cost when operating a buggy fleet. The compact dimensions of the Grasshopper GH25 mean that several single seater buggies can be stored in considerably less space than an equivalent fleet of conventional two seater machines.
For clubs where secure buggy storage is limited, this can be a considerable advantage and may avoid or reduce the need to provide additional storage facilities.
Designed to Reduce Course Impact
Protecting the golf course is naturally one of the most important considerations when introducing or expanding a buggy fleet.
The Grasshopper GH25 has been designed to distribute its weight as evenly as reasonably possible. Its compact single seater layout and overall operating footprint can also offer advantages over significantly larger conventional two seater buggies.
Fleet machines are supplied with their operating speeds preset for golf course use. Controlled speed and acceleration help reduce unnecessary wheel spin, aggressive acceleration and the resulting wear on fairways, pathways and other vulnerable areas.
The suitability of any buggy will naturally depend upon individual ground, weather and course conditions, but the GH25 has been designed with minimising course impact firmly in mind.
Maintenance Included
One of the biggest advantages of leasing is that the club does not have to assume the normal uncertainty associated with maintaining an ageing privately owned buggy fleet.
Routine maintenance is included within the leasing arrangement.
Should a buggy develop a problem during the lease, it is dealt with by the supplier in accordance with the lease and maintenance agreement.
The fleet is also inspected and serviced annually so that wear and developing issues can be identified before they become more significant problems.
Two Buggies, Three Buggies or a Complete Fleet
Every golf club is different. Some clubs may require only two Grasshopper GH25s to complement an existing fleet of conventional two seater buggies. Others may require three, four, six or considerably more because of member and visitor demand.
Our programme is built around the requirements of the individual club rather than forcing every customer into the same package.
What Happens at the End of the Lease?
The arrangement is designed to remain straightforward from beginning to end.
At the end of the agreed lease period, the club can consider the option that best suits its circumstances. It may choose to replace the existing fleet with brand new Grasshopper GH25 buggies and enter into a fresh leasing arrangement.
This provides a straightforward way of continually operating a modern fleet without repeatedly finding the capital needed to purchase replacement equipment.
Alternatively, where the particular leasing agreement permits it, the club may have the option to retain the existing buggies and bring the leasing arrangement to an end.
Any replacement or renewed leasing arrangement would be based upon the prices and leasing terms available at that time.
